On 23 January 1996 tile Executive Board oCtlic World Hcalth Orgmlization adopted the ibllowing rcsolution (EB97.RS). An intcmational framework convention for tobacco control The Executive Board. Having considcrcd the Diroctor-General's rcport on thc Ccasibility of dcvcloping an international instnmcnt for lobacco corlrol'.
