Our purpose is to serve and aid the public, students, librarians, and educators by providing online access to the world's most complete collection of electronic books and media in an easy to use format.

The World Library Foundation is the world’s largest eBook provider. Founded in 1996, the World Library Foundation is a comprehensive and evolving cloud based library, which shelves digital books and media, as well as a leader in developing innovations in technology to preserve and disseminate research references, historical publications, works of literature, serials, media, bibliographies, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other reference works in a number of languages and countries around the world.

We provide Institutions, librarians and educators with a variety of products, services and resources that strengthen their instructional programs of education for their patrons, elementary through post-baccalaureate studies.

The World Library Foundation is a Consortium effort. We would like to thank the thousands of educational organizations from around the world that have come together to make the World Library Foundation possible. The Consortia was created as part of an "eBook Campaign" to promote literacy, accessibility, and enhanced reading. Authors, publishers, librarians and technologists united to expand reading with eBooks.

All of the eBooks are in PDF file format, and all Audio eBooks are in MP3 file format. These formats have been specially designed to be cross-platform compatible with all PCs, Laptops, PDAs, iPhones/iPads, eReaders, and Smartphones.
