Delta Epsilon Psi (ΔΕΨ) is a South Asian interest social and service fraternity located in the United States. Delta Epsilon Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on October 1, 1998 at the University of Texas at Austin. 18 men came together sensing the urgency of a unified South Asian voice at their university.[1] Since then, Delta Epsilon Psi has grown to be the largest South Asian interest fraternity in the nation.[2]

The purpose of Delta Epsilon Psi is to develop leadership qualities within its members by instilling within them the 3 pillars (Brotherhood, Discipline, and Commitment) upon which the fraternity was founded.

Delta Epsilon Psi has established research towards finding a cure for Juvenile Diabetes (Type 1 Diabetes) and supporting the National Marrow Donor Program as its primary National Philanthropies. Its efforts are geared towards the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the National Marrow Donor Program (Be the Match) to promote its goals.[3][4]

Sugar Free Bowl

Sugar Free Bowl is an annual competitive fund-raising flag football tournament which was first held in November, 2002. Each year the brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi host the event with to raise funding and awareness for juvenile diabetes (Type 1 Diabetes). All proceeds from Sugar Free Bowl are donated directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The event was started by Vishal Bhagat, a member of the fraternity who was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes in childhood. Vishal died in August 2006. In his memory, The Vishal Bhagat Foundation was created to promote the cause of the Sugar Free Bowl.

North-American Interfraternity Conference

In April 2011, Delta Epsilon Psi officially became nationally recognized by the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC).
