List of Major League Baseball leaders in career ERA

This is a list of the career leaders in earned run average. In the sport of baseball, a pitcher's earned run average is a statistic denoting the mean of earned runs given up by a pitcher per nine innings pitched.

Ed Walsh holds the Major League Baseball earned run average record with a 1.82. He and Addie Joss are the only two players in Major League Baseball history with 2000 or more innings pitched with an earned run average lower than 2.00.
