Showcase Cinemas is a movie theater chain owned and operated by National Amusements. Operating more than 950 indoor screens, with 32 theater locations in the United States, and a number of other theaters across the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Argentina.

United States

In the United States, Showcase Cinemas operates movie screens in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Ohio under the brand names Showcase SuperLux, Cinema de Lux, Showcase Cinemas, and Multiplex Cinemas. Several new theaters and recently renovated theaters feature in-theater dining, plush leather seats, and more. Its facilities outside the theater include restaurants, cocktail lounges, food courts, and concession stands. All locations are handicapped accessible and offer assistance devices for the hearing and sight impaired.

Outside the United States, Showcase Cinemas operates movie theater locations in the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Argentina.

Showcase Cinemas works exclusively with http://www.MovieTickets.com allowing the purchase of movie tickets online and pick up at the theater.

Starpass movie rewards program

The Starpass movie rewards program is a loyalty program used by many Showcase theaters in the United States. Participants earn points for nearly everything purchased, including tickets, concessions, and purchases at restaurants available at select theatres. When a certain point amount is reached, members will receive a free popcorn, movie ticket, or soft drink voucher. The voucher will print when your card is swiped at an ATM, box office, or concessions stand. Members also receive a free popcorn as a special birthday gift.

Movie-goers who purchase tickets online at MovieTickets.com can also use their Starpass rewards to claim points for online purchases. Convenience fees are waived for purchases made on MovieTickets.com.

In theater dining

In 2008 Showcase Cinemas opened a new Cinema de Lux brand that aims to "redefine the cinema experience by bringing together the latest films and events, contemporary dining, impeccable service and a full range of distinctive amenities". There are three of these new cinemas that have opened in the UK and across the USA including the Showcase Superlux in Chestnut Hill, MA. These movie theater locations provide in-theater dining options as well as a full bar with service directly to your seat.

Functions

Additionally, many theaters offers theatre rentals for meetings, sales conferences, product launches, and private events such as birthday parties and special occasions. these events can be catered with food and beverages as needed.
