The Baan Dek Montessori is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The school is an accredited Association Montessori Internationale [1][2] and implements the principles and methods as set forth by Maria Montessori .

About

The Baan Dek Montessori was established by Bobby and June George in 2007. In 2010 The Baan Dek Montessori became the first accredited Association Montessori Internationale in South Dakota.[3]

Name

The Baan Dek name is Thai, meaning "Children's House" and is derived from the original Montessori school in Italy called, "Casa dei Bambini" (Italian for "Children's House").

Events

In 2009, The Baan Dek Montessori hosted the first annual Children's Film Festival in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.[4][5]
