The 2015 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships is the 79th such event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams will participate at several levels of competition. The competition will also serve as qualifications for the 2016 competition.

Championship

The top division championship will take place with the participation of sixteen teams from 1 to 17 May 2015. Czech Republic will host the event with games will be played in Prague and Ostrava.

Division I

Group A

The Division I A tournament will be played April 2015, hosting details will be established in September 2014. Ukraine was to have hosted in Donetsk, but have withdrawn that right because, "the political tension in the country is an obstacle for foreign visitors and fans who want to visit the ice festival in Donetsk."[1][2] On 18 September 2014, it was announced that the tournament will be hosted in Kraków, Poland.[3]

Group B

The Division I B tournament will be played in Eindhoven, Netherlands, from 13 to 19 April 2015.[2]

Division II

Group A

The Division II A tournament will be played in Reykjavík, Iceland, from 13 to 19 April 2015.[2]

Group B

The Division II B tournament will be played in Cape Town, South Africa, from 13 to 19 April 2015.[2]

Division III

The Division III tournament will be played in İzmir, Turkey, from 3 to 12 April 2015.[2]
