Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, formerly Avadh University, is a public university located at Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. The University is named after Ram Manohar Lohia an Indian freedom fighter and a socialist political leader. The university was established in 1975 as an affiliating university, and assumed residential university functions in 1984.

Academics

At campus level the university has been conducting undergraduate/postgraduate studies and research in Economics, Mathematics & Statistics, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences and M.B.A. The subjects of Extension Education & Rural Development, Mass Communication & Journalism, M.S.W., Library Science and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), postgraduate diploma in fashion designing are running on campus.
