GlobeNewswire, is an American press release distribution company, headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

A NASDAQ OMX Group subsidiary since 2006, it is one of the world's largest newswire distribution networks. Formerly known as PrimeNewswire, the company changed its name to GlobeNewswire in 2008 to better reflect its international scope.[1]

The company specializes in the delivery of corporate press releases, financial disclosures and multimedia content to the media, investment community, individual investors and the general public.

In 2010, it was named the official and exclusive newswire of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

In 2012, GlobeNewswire introduced its Streaming Media Player, which allows users to alternate between videos and slides while monitoring a variety of news sources.[2]
