Gregory Wendell McMurtry (born October 15, 1967 in Jackson, Mississippi) is a former professional American football wide receiver who played for the New England Patriots and the Chicago Bears of the National Football League in the early 1990s.

A two-sport star at Brockton High School, McMurtry was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the first round (14th overall pick) of the 1986 Major League Baseball Draft after being named the Gatorade Massachusetts Player of the Year, but instead decided to attend the University of Michigan on a football scholarship. After a successful career at Michigan, he was drafted by the Patriots in the third round (80th overall pick) of the 1990 NFL Draft.

McMurtry played for the Patriots for four seasons and finished his career with the Chicago Bears in 1994. For his career he totalled 128 receptions for 1,631 yards and five touchdowns. His career highlight may have come in Week 4 of the 1991 season, when he caught a game winning touchdown from QB Hugh Millen in the final minute against the Houston Oilers.
