Hamza (Arabic: الحمزة‎) is an Iraqi city and seat of Hamza District. It is situated in Al-Qādisiyyah Governorate some 25km south of Al Diwaniyah, 175 km south of Baghdad on the Diwaniya Channel (derived from Euphrates). Its name attributed to Ahmad Ibn Hashim Al-Ghurifi titled Hamza who killed and buried in the region.[1] total population Arabs Shia belonging to Arabic tribes such as Jubur ,Khazali,Salameh , Aerdh ,and Alakra.[2]
