"The Song of the Heart" is a song written and performed by Prince especially for the 2006 film Happy Feet.[1]

The song came about when Prince was approached to allow his music to be covered for the film. Prince initially refused, but was so impressed by the film that he not only gave his permission, but offered to write a new song for the film. It is also the only song on the soundtrack specifically written for this film. "The Song of the Heart" is the first single released from the soundtrack and won the 2007 Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
