Toby Carvery is a British carvery chain brand owned and operated by Mitchells and Butlers. The brand has been in operation for over 30 years. The chain of 150 restaurants serves over 21 Million meals a year and their slogan is "HOME OF THE ROAST"[1]

Sites typically open at 7am, serving breakfast until 11am (10:30am Sunday) and then carvery from 11:30am until 10pm.[2]

The brand has been expanded with the addition of a sandwich chain, under the name, Toby Carvery Sandwich Express.[3]

The branch at Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, Derby received a 0 star rating when it had a food hygiene inspection by Derby city Council, calling for urgent improvement,[4] and the The Crook Log Public House in Kent received 1 star.[5] The company was fined £15,000 for poor hygiene standards at the Enderby branch.[6]

When Entering the Carvery, you are greeted by the bar staff and either presented to your table or told to wait. The carver will ask you if you want a Yorkshire Pudding. If you say yes, the carver will give you a Yorkshire Pudding and then ask you for your meat. There are 4 choices. Beef, Gammon, Turkey and Pork
