The Eastern Mediterranean.

The Eastern Mediterranean denotes the countries geographically to the east of the Mediterranean Sea. This region is commonly interpreted in two ways; the region of Syria plus Cyprus (also known as the Levant), or the Levant, Greece, Albania, Turkey, Republic of Macedonia, and Egypt.

The eastern Mediterranean[1][2][3][4] populations share not only geographic position, but cuisine, certain customs, and a very long history.
