Everything is big in terms of grandeur and size but not in vertical: in Washington, in fact, there are no skyscrapers. Bizarre? No. It’s even better this way. For example the Washington Mall is incredibly vast and neat and amazing: start from the Lincoln Memorial (and admire all the others, such as the Korean, Viet Nam, World War II) to get to Capitol Hill and you’ll understand how huge it is
