Description
It is an unfortunate fact that Westerners are kidnapped in Africa whilst on business. Very few discuss this topic for obvious reasons. In this guide we presume the worst case. You or your employee is kidnapped and the ransom note delivered. What do you do? Not everyone is trained or has knowledge of hostage survival techniques – it does not come naturally. Nor are Corporates geared for such a crisis and they make basic mistakes. This guide will give you the basics to survive not only as a hostage but your Employer to make the right decisions. Who should read this? Any person who travels to Africa or have business dealings there should read this guide first. It will also interest those who are interested in kidnappings from the SWAT perspective. It is an unusual document and generally not available to the public at large. I am however tired of rescuing good folks and hope this will prevent further unpleasantness.
