Excerpt
Excerpt: The History Staff of the Census Bureau and the Chief Historian of the decennial census procedural history program are responsible for researching and writing assigned chapters of the 2000 decennial census history and planning the writing opf the procedural history for the 2010 decennial history. Also, the History Staff supports the day-to-day research, transcription, and query needs of the Census Bureau. This work requires using Census Bureau research facilities as well as those of the National Archives and Records Administration, the Library of Congress and local academic institutions, among others. When necessary, this also involves coordination with printing and publishing offices both within and outside of the Census Bureau.
