The Authors Community is a collection of contemporary authors and a social network meeting place for readers and authors.
The main collection is a result of Mr. Flinders Petrie's excavations in 1889, and was brought from Deir El-Hammam, three miles N. of Illahun. To it are added a few fragments (Nos. XX, XXVI, XLIX, and LIII), acquired at Hawara. The subjects represented are (I) Biblical texts :—To the one example previously described, a second is now added. (II) Patristic texts:—I have placed among these some curious fragments which give, inter alia, the account of a dream, because I was a...

Mr. Christie was a professor for the University of Manchester. He past away before a University library was constructed and so he left in his will the offer to build the school a library at his expense, which the University gratefully accepted and now houses an array of material, called, the Christie Library.
The great library, a part of which is described in this catalogue, represents the literary accumulations of a busy financier and man of affairs during a period of over thirty years. The five thousand titles which will be included in this and subsequent sales during the season, and which are only a part of Mr. Poor's library, cover a field and will arouse the interest of all classes of collectors and all lovers of beautiful and rare books.

It is not generally known that Sub Saharan Africa has a long tradition of successful counter-terrorism operations. During the 1950's to 1989 many counter-terrorism operations took place in Colonial Kenya, Rhodesia and Apartheid South Africa. It is historical fact that the Security Forces almost always defeated the terrorists whilst using very limited resources. They did this by applying COIN & counter-terrorism techniques not known to the general public and in many cases...
The moment you complete you mission objectives or find out it is not possible without committing much more resources you should leave. Generals throughout history had a tendency to build empires and always demand more soldiers. Somewhere the President must draw the line and regain control. Historically this happened in the First World War when Lloyd George, the English Prime Minister, starved the Western Front of men deliberately. He saved millions of soldiers by doing s...
In the first Chapter of Volume 11 (the 7th Chapter of Commentaries to Fundamentals of Iissiidiology), Oris describes in detail functioning of Formo-Creators of the brain, how the memory is accessed, how biological structures of the brain are associated with energy-information structures of Self-Consciousness, how various Self-Consciousness Levels are differentiated and reprojected at the moment of so-called “Death”. This Chapter also describes functioning of “the intesti...

This book was published as a low-cost paperback in 1975; it had a short shelf-life and quickly went out (and stayed out) of print. However I have continued to receive inquiries about it; that, as well as the fact that the workings of evolution are still widely misunderstood, are the factors which led me to produce this Gutenberg edition. In these times when every second popular science book is about the "environmental crisis", why resurrect such an ancient document? Simp...
If you live on a small island and keep goats, how should you make your decision about the number of goats to keep? If goats die only of old age or when you slaughter one to eat you'll need to be pretty careful, or you'll end up with a plague of goats which will strip the island bare. So don't let the goats breed too freely. But what if the island is also inhabited by a pack of wolves which eat goats as fast as you can breed them? In this case you must obviously do your d...
I have written this book to help us recall the original dream for education, the vision of those who built the sandstone schools and those who taught in one room buildings for the sake of education. If we are a rich province, and we are, our schools should feel it. Our kids deserve the best we can give them and not to be shelved as a low budget item. But maybe, knowing that, we would be wiser to not just ask the government or the public to find schools' better'. The secr...

This report presents the results of a comprehensive review of 600 cases over a period of 64 years during which pilots reported the presence of one or more aerial phenomena Unidentified (PAN) during their flight. In 443 cases (74%), the PAN has been described as "Objects" (circular in 42% of cases) rather than as light sources. In 162 cases (27%), visual observation is confirmed by radar detection (ground or embedded). This report specifically analyzes the 290 cases (48%)...
