Campaigning began the same day. -- Over 7,000 candidates representing 72 political parties and 33 coalitions are running on 256 different entities/lists in the January national elections. -- 9,000 candidates are registered to compete in the provincial elections. -- Over 200,000 corrected registration forms were submitted during the registration period.
