Description
Art therapy is a discipline that aims to enhance the physical, spiritual, and emotional development of individuals of all ages by utilizing the creative power of art. The recognition of the healing power of art as a science emerged in America and England in the 20th century. Consequently, many forms of art have been used as a balancing tool for individuals of all ages and genders, from ancient times to the present day, in their quest for spiritual and physical balance. While not a form of art, Midfulness is an important tool in helping individuals determine the appropriate art therapy method for themselves. As such, it plays a significant role in art therapy treatment.

Summary
Since the dawn of time, humankind has imitated nature to create works of art such as painting and music. Drawings on cave walls, the first melodies that began with imitating the wind and became expressions of belief and a part of daily life, formed the basis of modern art. The sculptures that adorn ancient cities, the first musical notes written in the ancient city of Tralles, are important information highlighting the increases in human life of art. Works of art created in societies around the world for centuries have carried many meanings, such as being an expression of daily life and emotions, a symbol of power and nobility, proof of creativity, a part of faith, and an indispensable part of entertainment. The healing power of art has been recognized by many societies. In the 5th century BC, hospitals in the ancient city of Pergamon utilized the healing power of the sound of water, in addition to the hygienic effects of water. The healing power of music was frequently used as a method for treating patients in many Turkish, Seljuk, and Ottoman hospitals. This book examines some of the methods used in women’s health, a field encompassing a wide range of art therapy applications. It also presents examples from women’s health to highlight the use of mindfulness in enhancing the effectiveness of art therapy. We hope that the book will be useful to women and readers. Asist.
