Excerpt
An earlier report from the Tuberculosis Chemotherapy Centre, Madras, gave the findings of a controlled comparison of combined chemotherapy with isoniazid and p-aminosalicylic acid (PAS) for patients treated at home with the same treatment in sanatorium (Tuberculosis Chemotherapy Centre, 1959). It was found that the response of the domiciliary patients to a year's treatment closely approached the results in the patients treated in sanatorium.
