Harlon Barnett (born January 2, 1967 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is a former professional American football safety who played safety for seven seasons for the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, and Minnesota Vikings of the NFL. He is currently an assistant coach (defensive backs) at Michigan State University under head coach Mark Dantonio. He is known mostly as the player Barry Sanders made look silly during a single run in 1994 while Barnett was on the Patriots. Ironically despite this, Barnett's 1994 season saw personal highs as he intercepted three passes and forced two fumbles.
