KWXR (98.7 FM) is a planned radio station with a FCC issued construction permit for Reliance, Wyoming, USA. The station is currently owned by Cochise Broadcasting LLC.[1]

The radio tower coordinates for the station will put the tower on a hill east of Rock Springs and southeast of Reliance, the city of license. The station was not yet on air as of August 2010. The station had until June 19, 2010, to complete its construction permit and begin airing. It received a license to cover on June 30, 2010. [2] Due likely to financial reasons, the station applied and was granted temporary authority to remain silent beginning on July 8, 2010.[3] Since 2007, the station has applied for two modifications to its original construction permit, all of which have since expired.[4]

KWXR was assigned its call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on December 10, 2008.[5]
