Gaighat (गाईघाट ), today Triyuga Municipality, is a town in east Nepal. It is situated on Triyuga river, in a valley surrounded by the Chure Hills. Many different ethnic groups and castes live in Gaighat, following their old traditions and speaking many languages. As a trade focal point of the Udayapur District, this place has an emerging number of residents. Gaighat had fallen in the path of totality for the 2009 solar eclipse. Nation's biggest cement factory and south asia's one of the biggest cement factories, Udayapur Cement Industrial limited, Jaljale, is situated about 7 km away from Gaighat Bazar.
