List of Philippine provinces by population

This is a list of the Philippines' provinces sorted by population, based on the population census of May 1, 2000 conducted by the Philippines' National Statistics Office.

The list includes newly created provinces, created after the census date, with their population segregated from their mother province. It includes population of highly urbanized cities, which are administratively independent of the province.
