WFYI-FM (90.1) is the National Public Radio member station in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is operated by Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Broadcasting, a public broadcasting community licensee which also operates the area's PBS member station, WFYI Public Television via on-air digital channels 20.1, 20.2 and 20.3. WFYI-FM operates on a broadcast frequency of 90.1FM and is available on high-digital radio receivers, as is 90.1 HD2 (90.1-2), nicknamed "The Point."

It signed on for the first time on October 14, 1954, as WIAN, operated by the Indianapolis Public Schools. After years of operating at low power and limited hours, it acquired the classical music library of WAIV, Indianapolis' classical music station. This gave it enough hours to become a charter member of NPR in 1971.

IPS sold the station to MIPB in 1988, and that March 15 it became WFYI-FM.

Some WFYI programming can also be heard on WNDY FM in Crawfordsville.

WFYI 90.1 FM Public Radio carries services for the print-impaired via the Internet and a subcarrier (SCA) broadcast signal. Indiana Reading and Information Services (IRIS)[1] was previously named Central Indiana Radio Reading Inc (CIRRI).[2]
