The station is currently owned by Media One Communications, Inc.[1] and features programing from Citadel Media. WRNE also features gospel music programming.


The station went on the air as WCHZ on 1985-07-18. On 1986-07-03, the station changed its call sign to WFXP and, on 1990-12-28, to the current WRNE.[2]
