Excerpt: Quality: The rolls shall be Mylar backed, sized, of good quality, suitable for use on inked panels, book cloth, buckram and other bookbinding fabrics; prepared for use on automatic feet attachment for a stamping press; must have good release, low reflectance and clearness of detail when stamped. Sample Requirement: Two samples of bookbinding material, size 6 inches x 6 inches (150 max 150 mm) will be sent to each supplier on which to test their material. These two materials have proven difficult in obtaining good quality stamps. A 12 inches (304.4 mm) wide and 50 feet (15. m) long roll sample of the product that the bidder proposes to furnish shall be supplied. Once the product is accepted as satisfactory, it will be placed on a Qualified Product List for this item and no additional sample will be required on future bids unless the formulation of that product has changed. All samples involving change in formulation or new products will be tested and if qualified will not be considered for the current request, rather for future procurements of this item.
