Sir- Professor Ors's comments on the present value of the Hippocratic Oath contain some interesting remarks (1). Obviously we cannot know what Hippocrates would say about the near-persistence of a moral text in medicine centuries later, but we can try to guess from his writings his stance on the various subjects under discussion.
