Excerpt
Excerpt: The St. Louis RPPO serves Federal agencies by finding commercial printers who can print Government documents most economically, in keeping with the agencies’ needs for quality and timeliness. The RPPO works with the agencies to make sure jobs are configured to take maximum advantage of the efficiency of private sector printing capacity, visits commercial printers to assure that they can do the work they bid on, and inspects finished jobs to determine whether quality standards have been met. Without the RPPO, each Federal agency in the St. Louis area would need a team of printing specialists to do the same work, and the costs for such duplicative effort would be high.
