A survey has been made of the distribution and density of sandflies in Greece in 1957, some 12 years after the inception of intensive residual application of DDT and other chlorinated insecticides for the control of anophelines. Experiments have also been made to determine the susceptibility or resistance of the surviving Plzleboton~~ctso DDT and dieldrin.
