Excerpt: Specific Requirements: Composition: Phosphoric acid...9% minimum as determined by the following test method. Weigh accurately about 10 mL of sample. Dilute with 120-mL water and add 0.5 mL of thymolphthalein indicator solution. Titrate with 1N sodium hydroxide to the first appearance of a blue color. A smaller sample may be used if the product contains a dye that may interfere with the end point. One mL of 1N sodium hydroxide solution corresponds to 0.04900 grams H3PO4. The product may also contain perfumes, dyes, and wetting agents provided that they are not injurious to the surfaces to be cleaned. It shall contain no hydrochloric or other volatile acids.
