Excerpt
The Book of Rumblin’s Diary of a Salesman Introduction I did not write this book in anticipation of having a best seller or trying to impress anyone with my literary ability of which I have none. I wrote it for fun and to remember those who have touched my life during the years that I have worked in sales. My intentions are for it to be a humorous and sarcastic documentary of people I’ve known so it will probably be boring to the general public. For several chapters I chose my many of my subjects alphabetically by first name and deeds that I recall them doing or being a part of. Unfortunately I don’t have enough time, space or life left to write about everyone but I have listed two hundred and sixty-six people that influenced these stories in the Appendix. If I left anyone out I apologize and you can consider yourself fortunate that I did. Some of the language and events described within these pages may be offensive to tender and/or sensitive people. If you are a person of that nature I respectfully suggest and ask that you not read this book. For others, if you choose to continue as I hope you will, proceed at your own risk. I am warning you up front so don’t get angry with me or offended by what you read here. Admittedly I am a somewhat crude at times, sarcastic, un-trained in the literary sense, and non-traditional writer so you should take what you read here with the proverbial “grain of salt,” I also proof-read, self-edit, finance and publish my own books so if something is screwed up… I did it.
