Summary
Among the mass tourists, there is a section of tourists who are identified as “Backpacker” tourists. They carry minimum luggage, usually a big baggage attached to their back with straps tied along their shoulders. The backpacker tourism originated in the west during the during the last decades of the 20th century and spread to other parts of the globe. This book highlights how backpacker tourism can be profitably exploited using the existing infrastructure facilities or providing cheap group or individual accommodation using locally available cheap resources.
